CIUDAD REAL, 18 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The government spokeswoman, Isabel Rodríguez, has asked the president of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to avoid giving what would be excuse number 1,353 for not renewing the General Council of the Judiciary, since it is already 1,353 days since it expired. the current mandate.
To questions from the media after an institutional visit to Ciudad Real, Rodríguez pointed out that Núñez Feijóo yesterday gave “his excuse number 1,352 after 1,352 days since the PP breaches the Constitution.”
“What Feijóo has to know is that it is inexcusable to comply with the Constitution as all Spaniards comply with it, and he is obliged to comply with it. There are no more excuses,” the spokeswoman warned.
In his opinion, this blockade “reveals the fragility of a party that faces projects for change in its ranks without respecting institutional agreements,” alluding to the agreement signed with the previous leadership of the “popular” and made public this week.
In his opinion, “there is little left for the PP of that state party that was in the past”, since Núñez Feijóo “ratifies” this point.
“The PP is in rebellion, failing to comply with the Constitution, but let’s not wait for the 1,354 excuse, it has to end with it, I hope that today he will appear to say that they finally agree that it is better to comply, and thus he would fulfill his word that he gave when he was elected responsible of the PP”, he concluded.
