Jean-Michel Renaudeau, ceo of Sepro Robotique, between from the outset in the heart of the matter. “We are experiencing strong growth because, during the crisis, we have continued to invest in innovation : when business picked up, our range was completely renewed.” The SME, founded in La Roche-sur-Yon (Vendée) in 1982, and manufactures industrial robots specific for the injection molding of plastic, primarily for the automotive industry. “The demand is global,” says the president of Sepro Robotique, which was for first customers groups, Valeo, Faurecia and Plastic Omnium. A demand growth underpinned by the requirement of automotive manufacturers to reduce vehicle weight, by using, for example, of the plastic bumper. If the automotive sector remains in the minds of customers of the company (75%), the manufacturers of multimedia devices (wireless products, tvs…) are right behind, along with manufacturers of cosmetics, manufacturers in the food packaging or the manufacturers of electrical equipment…

“We have started to monitor the export of our customers in the automotive sector and we have won customers’ premises ; and then we set up eight subsidiaries : in the United States, our primary market, where we became number 2, or even in Germany, our second largest market, ” explains Jean-Michel Renaudeau. Our subsidiaries are self-sustaining, even if they share one and the same strategy.We believe that business decisions should be taken locally and not at headquarters in France. As well, our u.s. subsidiary can conquer directly in export markets, for example in saudi Arabia,” commented the CEO of Sepro Robotique, which insists on the fact that its customers operate also in a logic of globalisation.”We entered the club leaders and are today systematically prescribed, co-opted by the major accounts” Group in the vendée assembles all of its robots on the site of La Roche-sur-Yon, where is also located its R&D. “We don’t claim to “made in France”, but we position ourselves in the “made in Sepro” on our markets, which is ultimately more operational and closer to our reality : SME global is increasingly working in partnership in the framework of alliances, international technology”, insists Jean-Michel Renaudeau.
