Sony recently revealed Concord, a highly anticipated live-service hero shooter developed by Firewalk Studios, set to be released globally on August 23, 2024. Gameplay and Features
Concord is a 5v5, character-driven, first-person multiplayer shooter that promises engaging gameplay, rewarding progression, and a diverse selection of characters, maps, and game modes. Sony describes Concord as a tribute to aspirational sci-fi adventures inspired by various forms of media like art, anime, films, and TV series.
In Concord, players will form teams of Freegunners, a group of unique characters including spellcasters, robots, gunslingers, and snipers. Dual Editions
Concord is currently available for pre-order in two editions to suit different player preferences. The Standard Edition, priced at $39.99, includes the full game with 16 playable characters, 12 unique maps, and six team-based game modes, with all post-launch updates included at no additional charge.
For players looking for additional perks, the Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at $59.99 and offers up to 72 hours of early access before the official launch. It also includes the Northstar Freegunner’s cosmetics pack, featuring 16 themed outfits, one for each Freegunner available at launch.
Beta Access and Pre-order
Sony has announced that players who pre-order Concord will have access to a pre-launch beta, featuring cross-play between PS5 and PC. Each pre-order will come with five beta codes, allowing early access during the Beta Early Access weekend in July.
