Sevilla FC winger Jesús Manuel ‘Tecatito’ Corona suffered a rupture of the fibula and the deltoid ligament of his left ankle in training this Thursday and will have to undergo surgery in the next few hours, the Nervionense club has reported, confirming that he will be among four and five months off.
In “a set of the game without any hit” during the training session held this morning at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, according to the Andalusian entity, the Mexican was seriously injured and had to leave the field in an ambulance.
“The player was urgently transferred to FREMAP after it to undergo tests that have revealed that he suffers from a ruptured fibula and deltoid ligament in his left ankle, according to reports from the club’s medical service,” confirmed the Seville club.
The Sevilla winger will be operated this afternoon on the injury by Dr. Najarro at the FREMAP hospital. “Initially, this type of injury requires a recovery of between four and five months,” the entity warned.
