MADRID, 10 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The historian and exporter of En Comú Podem in Congress Xavier Domènech will advise the second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, for the construction of the new political project that she promotes and whose launch will take place in Madrid on July 8.

The former leader of the commons will be part of a group of advisers who will contribute their vision during the development of this platform, called to reconfigure the space of the left, according to detailed sources familiar with the process to Europa Press.

Domènech, who was also general secretary of Podem, resigned in 2018 from all his positions due to personal exhaustion and returned to his activity as a university professor.

Precisely when his resignation took place, Díaz said that it represented a “big loss” for politics and last year he supported him during the presentation in Madrid of his book ‘A beam of nations’.

Now, he will advise the vice president for the configuration of her project and shows the support of the ‘commons’ in the face of this process of redesigning the progressive space, given that other sources from the confederal space also place MEP Ernest Urtasun in that advisory nucleus, in addition of the role already played by the director of Díaz’s cabinet, Josep Vendrell.

In addition, the mayor of Compostela Aberta, Marta Lois, is part of the team that has promoted the ‘Sumar’ association, which will help the vice president to organize the acts of the civil society consultation phase.

Various officials from the Catalan confluence of United We Can showed their enthusiasm at the realization of the launch date of the Díaz project. In fact, Comú Podem plans to be at the presentation ceremony for the launch of this platform.

This is the case of their spokesperson in Congress, Aina Vidal, who on Twitter highlighted that they were “hungry for hope” and that they are beginning to “add up”, thus evoking the name of the association and one of Díaz’s main mottos.

His comrade in ranks and president of the parliamentary group, Jaume Asens, has proclaimed that, after Díaz’s announcement, “now it’s time to dream again, listen and add.”

In addition, Díaz and the mayor of Barcelona, ??Ada Colau, have visualized their harmony and closeness in multiple acts, aligned with the objective of widening the current space to the left of the PSOE.
