MADRID, 31 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Council of Ministers has dismissed the until now Government delegate in Ceuta, Salvadora Mateos, who is being investigated for an alleged crime of continued prevarication in the return in August last year of 55 Moroccan children alone to the neighboring country following a procedure margin of the provisions of the Immigration Law.

In the agreements reached at the Government meeting this Monday, the appointment of Rafael García Rodríguez appears as the new delegate of the Executive in the autonomous city of Ceuta, replacing Salvadora Mateos, who has been dismissed in the middle of the judicial process for this alleged crime.

In addition, in April Salvadora Mateos was also involved in a controversy as a result of some statements in which she regretted that the border between Morocco and the autonomous city was not opened so that the “girls” who do the housework could return.

“In Ceuta, especially housewives, we are looking forward to the girl coming, I tell you starting with me, that working here in the morning and cleaning in the afternoon, the truth is that it costs”, declared Mateos in a wheel of press.

From now on, Rafael García will hold this position as Government delegate in Ceuta. He is the legal adviser to the spokesman for the Socialist Parliamentary Group in the autonomous city and the party’s legal officer. He is also the general secretary of Institutional Relations and Public Function of the PSOE of Ceuta since 2021 and has previously dedicated himself to private companies and has been the owner of an agency.
