MADRID, 23 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The government spokeswoman, Isabel Rodríguez, has indicated this Monday that the Vox candidate for the regional elections in Andalusia, Macarena Olona, ??has not complied with the law with her registration in the Granada town of Salobreña, in order to be able to appear on the lists.
When asked if Olona should be left out of the elections that will be held on June 19, Rodríguez has indicated that he does not dare to make that assessment although, in his opinion, it is a question of exemplary.
“Forms in politics are very important, beyond pure legality”, he stated, although in this case “the law has not even been complied with”, he stated.
The city council of Salobreña (PSOE) issued on Friday a “definitive resolution to start deregistration” from the municipal register of the Vox candidate, while the inquiries carried out by the Local Police after “several visits” to the address where she is registered in this locality “they prevent proving that he resides in the house”.
The removal of Olona from the municipal register of Salobreña would affect his candidacy for the regional elections as head of the Vox list for the province of Granada, since the candidates are obliged to present “certificate of registration in the electoral census or in the municipal register , in order to prove their political status as Andalusians” in accordance with an instruction from the Andalusian Electoral Board.
