The editorial in ‘El Socialista’ points out that the “legends from the north” cannot forge the image of someone who aspires to govern

The PSOE has accused part of the press, which it describes as “the right-wing media army” of extolling the figure of the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, without first having verified his previous management as president of the Xunta and his solvency in your current position.
In the editorial of the latest issue of ‘El Socialista’, the publication edited by the party, they also accuse Feijóo of trying to get “on tiptoe” to the position of Prime Minister and trying to go unnoticed for more than a year as a “mirage political”, according to what they indicate, “living on the income of an oversized fame by the right-wing media army”.
Thus, they point out that the media, in addition to monitoring the government’s action, should put “the same focus” on an opposition leader who has just arrived in the national political arena. Therefore, they consider “vital” for politics “a press that checks if the manager was good or bad in his previous stage, or if his solvency in the new stage is at the level of the fourth largest economy in the European Union”, they point out, since “Spain is not a country for experiments”, adds the text.
Along the same lines, they describe as “legends that come from the north” the image that this press offers of Feijóo in reference to the years at the head of the Xunta de Galicia –where he governed for 13 years and won four absolute majorities– which in In no case, they say, can they be enough to forge the image of a leader who aspires to govern for all Spaniards.
In addition, he defends that both Sánchez and the PSOE can “challenge the applicant with that noble objective of clarifying the capabilities of the subject”, in reference to the reply that the chief executive dedicated to Feijóo this Tuesday in the debate that both held in the Senate . In a long intervention Sánchez made a list of mistakes made by Feijóo and accused him of acting with “insolvency or bad faith”.
In this way, he ensures that the PSOE is not going to abandon its functions and is going to “bring light to where the political and media right-wing insists on maintaining shadow areas.”
The text also charges directly against Feijóo by pointing out that someone who governs “as if he were doing us a favor because he left behind a very peaceful life” is not necessary.
“You come to Madrid crying, and truly convinced. If not, it is better to get a ticket on the train back to the longed-for land. Homesickness is an unnecessary drink if you do not understand the high honor to which you aspire,” he continues. .
