Agoric, a layer 1 blockchain based in San Francisco, has introduced a new tool called the Orchestration API. This tool is designed to help developers create next-generation Web3 applications that can seamlessly coordinate digital assets and services across various blockchain ecosystems. The goal is to simplify the user experience and allow for one-click interactions that can deploy liquidity and access multiple blockchains in a streamlined manner.

The current blockchain landscape is fragmented, with over $2 trillion in liquidity spread across different blockchains such as Ethereum, Solana, L2s, L3s, app-chains, sovereign rollups, subnets, and more. This fragmentation often leads to complex and cumbersome experiences for users in the Web3 space. While some solutions like bridges and interoperability tools have been introduced to address this issue, they still fall short due to limited programmability.

With the launch of the Orchestration API, Agoric aims to change the game for multi-chain use cases. For users, the API enables real chain abstraction, providing simple and seamless experiences that span across different chains. Developers can leverage the API to achieve cross-chain programmability through a multi-block execution environment and easy-to-use JavaScript APIs for managing accounts and assets on remote chains. This opens up new possibilities for the Web3 ecosystem by enabling composability across protocols to unlock liquidity regardless of the native chain.

Dean Tribble, the CEO of Agoric Systems, expressed his excitement about the API launch, highlighting the platform’s ability to enable rich, one-click user experiences that unlock new economic opportunities across multiple chains. The goal is to simplify tasks in the Web3 space that currently require multiple actions and specialized knowledge from users.

One of the early adopters of Agoric’s Orchestration API is the interchain trading terminal Calypso, which is using the tool to launch a staking widget. This widget allows users to stake into any IBC-enabled chain with just one click, eliminating the need for multiple steps and signatures. According to John DiBernardi, Co-Founder of Calypso, Agoric Orchestration has simplified time-intensive DeFi tasks into a user-friendly one-click experience that appeals to both new and experienced DeFi users.

Builders interested in exploring multi-chain orchestration can apply for Agoric’s Early Access Program, which offers personalized technical support, financial incentives, and early access to new features. The program aims to support developers in bringing their applications into the next generation of Web3.

Agoric, founded by computer scientists Dean Tribble and Mark Miller, is dedicated to bringing orchestration to the Web3 space to address the challenges of chain abstraction and promote composability and interoperability.
