Jaume Asens says that they will ask if his intervention in the military Easter had the endorsement of the Executive

MADRID, 7 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the United Podemos parliamentary group in Congress, Jaume Asens, has criticized that King Felipe VI placed himself “outside the Constitution” by stressing the importance of increasing investment in Defense and advances that his formation will ask the Government if these words during military Easter had his endorsement.

This has been pronounced through Twitter to indicate that article 64 of the Magna Carta “requires” that the acts of the monarch have the endorsement of the President of the Government and, where appropriate, by the competent ministers.

“The king must be neutral. He cannot take sides in a debate. When he expresses his opinion, he is outside the Constitution. And even more so if it is controversial. In this case, it does not even coincide with that of the entire Government,” he launched to add that if he wants to give his opinion, “leave office and run for the elections.”

Yesterday and also on networks, he already called it “intolerable” that Felipe VI spoke of increasing military spending.
