Mainly Swedish, collectors, a growing number of give preference to furniture made from the early 1970s to the late 1990s, and designed by renowned designers such as Karin Mobring, Niels Gammelgaard, Tord Björklund or Gillis Lundgren…

Armchairs and chairs of designers appeal to collectors
The number of the great success stories of the Ikea design is the comfortable armchair “Premiär-69”, combining oak lacquered finish and leather clear, designed by Per-Olof Scotte. It is today part of the most popular. In may 2015, a pair of these chairs in the line fluid has found a taker for € 1600 at Bukowskis. Imagined by the designer Tord Björklund in the 1980s, the chaise longue “Skye”, combining leather and steel, has become just as timeless. But its price remains modest: 510 euros was enough to take one of these chairs sold at Bukowskis, in September 2016.
Still at the chapter chairs, the value of the model, “Oti”, designed by Niels Gammelgaard in the 1980s, has been hovering around 200 euros. An amount minimalist it can be linked to the pace unusual of this lattice of metal in the shape of a triangle, and seductive, above all, by his spirit chart.
Everything that is rare is expensive…
Paradoxically, the lack of success in their time by some of the manufacturing now contributes to increase their value. Their production is being stopped prematurely, because it has not captivated buyers in sufficient numbers, these parts prove to be rare on the market, and this scarcity is pushing up prices.
