To do this, however, the Ukrainian president is betting on the support of Western partners, from whom he expects good news soon

MADRID, 29 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, has assured this Saturday that the Ukrainian Army will surpass the Russian troops technologically and in strength, something for which, however, he needs the support of Western partners, from whom he expects good news next week.

“We work daily to strengthen our protection (…) Every day we get closer to the fact that our Army surpasses the occupiers technologically and by force,” the Ukrainian president said in his daily message to the Ukrainian population.

Zelensky added that to achieve this goal, “of course”, Ukraine depends on its partners and their willingness to provide “everything necessary to protect the freedom” of the country. “I expect good news in this next week”, he has detailed it.

On the other hand, the president of Ukraine has pointed to the “indescribably difficult” situation that is being experienced in “key areas” such as the cities of Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Bakhmut and Popasna, as well as others where the Russian offensive is concentrated.

“The situation is very complicated. Especially in those areas (…) where the Russian Army is trying to obtain at least some result (…) But our defense remains,” Zelensky described in his daily statement.
