Retrópolis Valencia is a reference space for enthusiasts of the golden age of computing and video games whose purpose is to disseminate, promote and preserve the culture of video games and classic computing, in addition to offering a framework for recreational exchange between generations, where Various artistic and technological manifestations gather around retro machines and video games.
Attendees will be able to play with some of the consoles and computers on display, historical pieces of technology. The Computer Science Museum will host a retrocomputing workshop in which Amstrad microcomputers from the 80s will be used to study small programs in the BASIC language – it is not necessary to know it beforehand – and to play video games of the time.
Under the title ‘Alan Touring and the Enigma Machine’, two workshops will allow you to experience what it is like to be a cryptanalyst and encode and decode messages, as was done during the Second World War.

Among the scheduled talks is that of Luis Rodríguez, a “legend of the golden age of Spanish software” who participated in the creation of renowned video games and graphic designs for Amstrad and Spectrum and who will sign copies.
The members of Shinyuden will also give a conference, a Valencian company based in the famous Akihabara neighborhood of Tokyo that localizes and publishes indie games and classic licenses, manga and anime.

At the same time, associations, clubs, fans, specialized media, companies and professionals will attend to those who come to their exhibitors at Retrópolis Valencia.
