ALICANTE, 20 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The 13th edition of the Startup Creation Marathon, a program managed by the Science Park of the Miguel Hernández University (PCUMH) of Elche (Alicante), is already underway and has more than thirty innovative projects.
This call has seen the registration of nearly a hundred people with around 50 business projects and, of them, a total of 32 have finally been selected to participate, as indicated by the academic institution in a statement.
These initiatives will receive advice, mentoring and training to launch their business proposals, and will be eligible for more than 80,000 euros in financing and other special prizes offered by this program.
The selected initiatives innovate in areas ranging from applications, sustainability, agri-food or health to biotechnology, fashion, culture and engineering.
Since the launch of its entrepreneurship support programs, the PCUMH has advised more than 1,600 entrepreneurs with more than 900 business ideas and projects. In addition, it has distributed more than one million euros in prizes and promoted the creation of more than 160 startups, which contribute with their innovations to improving the environment.
The inauguration of the 13th edition was held in the Innova building on the Elche campus and the director of the PCUMH Entrepreneurship Area, Javier Sancho, and technicians from this area participated, who presented the details and dynamics of the program .
Also present were the promoters of the participating projects, who had the opportunity to present their business proposals, and representatives of the sponsoring entities.
