MADRID, 25 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A group of supporters of the president of Brazil and candidate for re-election, Jair Bolsonaro, has tried to break up an act of support for former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Niterói, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro, throwing eggs at the entourage that has led by Senator Simone Tebet and the mayor of the city, Axel Grael.
Since the beginning of the act, the entourage has been rebuked by some neighbors, who have insulted Tebet and the rest of the political personalities who had gathered to ask for the vote this Monday for the candidate of the Workers’ Party (PT) from their windows. . Upon reaching the end of the route they have been greeted with eggs, although none of them reached them.
During his speech, Tebet, who was the third option among Brazilians in the first round, pointed out that although he has his “differences” with Lula, with him he shares his idea of ??putting people “first”, unlike of Bolsonaro, whom he has blamed for the deaths in the pandemic.
“Lula allowed black and poor people to go to university. Bolsonaro wants to buy weapons. I am, yes, with Lula,” remarked Tebet, who has promised to work tirelessly until election day, October 30.
“May Lula’s arms, his voice, become votes. As of October 30, Brazil will be able to breathe again and Bolsonaro will be swept into the trash of history,” Tebet emphasized.
In the first round, the city of Niterói chose Lula, with 46.56 percent of the votes, while 42.90 percent of the voters opted for Bolsonaro. For its part, Tebet collected 4.63 percent of the support.
