Russia warns of a possible Ukrainian attack on a hydroelectric plant in the region and evacuates part of the population to the east

The commander of Russian forces in Ukraine, Sergei Surovikin, has alerted that he has information about a possible attack by Ukraine with “forbidden methods of warfare” against the city of Jerson, in southern Ukrainian territory but annexed by Russia.

As detailed by the Russian military high command, the Ukrainian Army could carry out a “massive missile attack” against the dam of the Kajovskaya hydroelectric power plant, located in the city of New Kajovka.

Precisely this Tuesday Moscow has denounced a Ukrainian attack in this city, located in Jerson, where, it is said, two people have lost their lives and a third has resulted in shrapnel injury.

In addition, the pro-Russian governor of Kherson, Volodimir Saldo, has reported that the population of the eastern sector of the region has begun to be evacuated to the western part of the Dnieper River due to threats about a possible attack on the hydroelectric plant.

Likewise, Surovikin has warned that kyiv is planning “a massive missile and artillery attack on the city without an analysis of the objectives,” according to the Russian news agency TASS.

“These actions can lead to the destruction of the infrastructure of a large industrial center and a large number of civilian casualties,” the top Russian military leader for the “special military operation” in Ukraine has settled.
