He claims the “responsibility” of his party to achieve the “rectification” of the Law of ‘only yes is yes’

MAIRENA DEL ALCOR (SEVILLE), 20 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has made this Thursday an invitation to join the “current” PP that he leads to “people with a sense of State” who now “does not fit in Sánchez’s party”, in reference to the PSOE .

This has been transferred by the leader of the PP during his speech at the presentation ceremony of the ‘popular’ candidate for Mayor of Mairena del Alcor (Seville), Juan Manuel López, at the PP booth at the fair of said municipality , in which he has been accompanied by the president of the Junta de Andalucía and the PP-A, Juanma Moreno.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo has stated that “if the PSOE has renounced its principles, it is not the fault of the PP”, and “one day the Socialist Party will once again be the Socialist Party, and there we will meet again to build a better Spain”.

Meanwhile, as he added, if “the people who believe in the institutions, who want economic growth, a better job, a social housing agreement, do not fit in Sánchez’s party, they fit in the PP”, where it is also possible who believes “in the politics of truth, in understanding”, as he added.

“All those who believe in this, those who want to work together, fit into the current PP, that of Juanma Moreno and that of all of Spain”, Feijóo has proclaimed, who has thus “welcomed” those who want to “recover that illusion , that desire”, to that PP that “has no other objective than to serve Spain”, as he has sentenced.

Along these lines, the ‘popular’ leader has vindicated his as a “State party” both from the opposition and from the Government, and has asserted that his mission is not “to oppose Spain, but to the Government of Spain” which Pedro Sánchez presides, and “above the errors of the Government, its contempt for the opposition, the irresponsibility” of the Executive and the parties that support it “is the PP”, he has asserted.

In line, he has claimed the “responsibility” that, in his opinion, the PP has put on the table “achieving the reform of a legal botch”, in reference to the so-called Law of ‘only yes is yes’ that has meant ” 1,000 sentence reductions and 100 releases” of sexual offenders.

Feijóo has assessed that, with the reform that the Congress of Deputies has validated this Thursday, the crimes that are committed after it enters into force “will at least return to have the same penalties that they had when the PP legislated and we arrived to the Government”, and has emphasized that his party warned that “this law had to be modified”, but “they insulted and despised us”, as he lamented.

The head of the opposition has assured that “it hurts” that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, wanted to reform the law now because there are elections and he has seen that the norm was hurting him electorally.

In this sense, he has indicated that he does not ask that “recognize, or even applaud” the “popular” “the rectification that we have obtained from the Government.” “It would be enough for Sánchez to dismiss those responsible for that law,” Feijóo added before warning that the president is in a situation in which he “cannot dismiss” some of his ministers.

The leader of the PP has claimed that “Spain is much better than Sánchez and the government it has, and Spanish politics is much better than the politics of sanchismo”, and has said that if he “resigned himself to the fact that the best policy of Spain is the one of sanchismo, and I was not convinced that Spain deserves an honest policy, I would not dedicate myself to politics”.

Feijóo has thus claimed a policy “with principles, that unites people, that restores our illusion”, and has stressed that he has “every desire to preside over the Government of Spain because I believe in Spain; in the country and in all the autonomous communities that make it up, starting with the main one, Andalusia”, as he has asserted to conclude by calling for “the policy of building and not destroying”, and a “State policy”, which is not reduced to “chascarrillos, wheels of press, photographs and ‘tweets'”.
