He wishes him “success” but says he has “lost count” of the formations he has gone through: “I think there are three or four”

MADRID, 8 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has assured this Friday that he finds it “ironic” that the second vice president, Yolanda Díaz, calls his new political project ‘Sumar’, taking into account that at this moment both the left and the Government of PSOE and United We Can, of which she is a part, are experiencing their “greatest division”. In addition, he has highlighted that she has “lost count” of the number of formations that Galician politics has passed through and has estimated it at “three or four”.

This is how it was pronounced a few hours before Yolanda Díaz launches the presentation of ‘Sumar’, the new project that she promotes to revitalize the alternative left to the PSOE with an act that will visualize the philosophy of the platform: attract civil society and with presence of parties but with a secondary role.

Speaking to the media in Zaragoza, after visiting the Nurel fiber and polymer manufacturing company accompanied by the president of the party in Aragon, Jorge Azcón, Feijóo stated that “he has lost count of how many political formations the Vice President of the Government has passed “.

“I tell you this from the most absolute cordiality”, asserted the president of the PP, who added: “I seem to remember that there are three or four. Therefore, I do not think it is very novel that it is incorporated into another new political formation”.

That said, Feijóo has highlighted that what he does find “a little ironic” is, with the moment of “division that the Government and the left are experiencing”, the project that Yolanda Díaz is going to launch “is called ‘Sumar'”.

“At the moment of greatest division of the Spanish left, that the project of the Spanish left is called ‘Sumar’, you will understand that the less it is ironic. But in any case, it is not up to me to give it a name or to put a name that means the opposite of what happens”, I have emphasized.

In any case, he has reiterated that if “Mrs. Yolanda Díaz”, for whom he “appreciates”, wants to start “a fourth political voyage to try to further divide the left, then it is a decision that corresponds to her.”

Feijóo has wished him “success” with this new project that he is going to present because, in his opinion, it would be “good if there were some project on the left to be able to talk and if possible dialogue, reflect” and even be able to “reach some meeting point, at least in some matter”.
