He has criticized that the Government “does not assume responsibilities” with the ‘Yes is Yes’ Law and continues to be “wrong” with the Trans Law as well
LOGROÑO, 18 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has assured this Saturday in Logroño that what ‘Sanchismo’ is doing is “subtracting from socialism”, a project that “is already blurred and disappeared” because in a hundred days “the political change that will Spain needs”.
In this way, he indicated, next May 28 “is not the goal, it will be the starting point of a new political cycle in Spain.” First – he said – “we will do it with the departure of Hermoso de Mendoza and Concha Andreu from Logroño and La Rioja and, later, we will mark the path of Sánchez because in our community we do not want to be a satellite of ‘Sanchismo’, which is what that Andreu has converted us”.
“We do not want to be a satellite of something that divides and seeks blocks for the people of Logroño and the people of La Rioja we are like that,” he reiterated.
Cuca Gamarra made these statements during her speech at the Regional Board of Directors that the PP held this Saturday at the ‘Círculo Logroñés’ in Logroño together with the PP candidate for the presidency of the Government, Gonzalo Capellán; and the candidate for mayor of Logroño, Conrado Escobar. The act was presided over by the president of the PP of La Rioja, Alberto Galiana.
During his speech, Gamarra has assured that the first step to begin this “change” is “voting at the polls” to put an end to this central government that “has passed the Law of ‘Only yes is yes’ for more than four months now ‘ and, after the pernicious effects that it has caused, neither rectify nor assume responsibilities”.
In view of this, he has also regretted the silence of the La Rioja president, Concha Andreu: “It cannot be that Andreu is silent and does not ask for the change of this Law when we have experienced the reductions in sentences for sexual offenders and murderers. It cannot It may be that all this, which causes pain, does not have a response from the La Rioja president demanding the immediate reform of the Law”.
“Above all – the general secretary of the PP has indicated – they continue to insist on being wrong, not only with this Law, but the Trans Law, which has very harmful effects for children and young people in the country and is a Law that is negative for women because it erases us and blurs us”.
With all this, he said, “we are taking steps backwards in the policies to achieve equality between men and women.”
A situation that, as he has recognized, is caused by ‘Sanchismo’. “We refuse all of this because what cannot be is that, while this is happening, legislation is being legislated to favor the partners of the Government of Spain to modify the Penal Code, make embezzlement cheaper and the sedition code disappear.” While they do that, and continuing with the ‘Yes is yes’ Law, “Pedro Sánchez himself blocks a PP initiative that is ‘calcadita’ and does not allow it to obtain the approval of the Government so that it can be debated in Congress just because It belongs to the PP. You don’t play with this,” Gamarra concluded.
