He does not clarify when the motion will be debated and says that it will be less than the three months that Vox has taken to present it

MADRID, 27 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The head of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, has assured this Monday that the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, “does not dare” to reject the motion of censure that Vox has presented because, as he has maintained, it is the “confirmation that the The only way to govern town halls and autonomous communities” is with a coalition government formed by Santiago Abascal.

This is how the President of the Government pronounced himself in an interview on Telecinco, collected by Europa Press, on the motion of censure that Vox registered this Monday in Congress with the politician Ramón Tamames as a candidate.

In this context, Sánchez has criticized the fact that Feijóo is now opting for abstention, while in the previous motion of censure that Vox presented two years ago, the then leader of the PP, Pablo Casado, decided to vote against and make a very hard against those of Santiago Abascal.

“I think what is interesting about the analysis is the change that the PP has proposed, from going from no to abstention, because it has its significance, firstly because Feijóo approaches Vox and secondly because it is the verification that the only way to govern municipalities, autonomous communities and later the country is with a coalition government with Vox”, Sánchez has proclaimed.

In this regard, Sánchez faces this motion of censure as a tool to “contrast” the proposals of the current coalition government between PSOE and Unidas Podemos and the “hypothetical” agreement between the PP and Vox.

And regarding the candidate, Ramón Tamames, Sánchez has expressed his “maximum respect” for any of the names that are submitted to a motion of censure, although he has indicated that he finds it “strange” that Vox has taken three months to register this initiative while announcing it as “a national emergency.

He has also questioned that Santiago Abascal was not finally the candidate for this vote of no confidence, although he has stressed his “maximum respect” for Tamames and has declared that the Government will take this constitutional tool “seriously”.

Likewise, he has assured that Vox decided to present its first motion of censure during the pandemic and, as he has said, the Government’s treatment was the vaccination strategy, “trivialized by the extreme right that flirted with the anti-vaccination groups”, and now, “flirts with leaders who have felt or have been close to Putin”.

Regarding the terms of the motion, Sánchez has assured that Congress will take “less” to be able to specify the date of the debate of the motion than the three months that the party of Santiago Abascal has taken to register it since it was announced.
