The agent committed suicide 12 hours later with his service weapon

GRANADA/MADRID, 24 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The investigation opened after the death in Granada on May 6 of a woman points to the authorship of her partner, a 41-year-old civil guard stationed in Malaga, who committed suicide after allegedly ending the life of his wife and then simulating a traffic accident.

Sources close to the investigation consulted by Europa Press have confirmed that the main hypothesis is that the 39-year-old woman died before the incident that occurred on May 6 in Villamena, in the metropolitan area of ??Granada.

The civil guard traveled by car with the woman and, some twelve hours after the alleged traffic accident, took his own life using his service weapon in his apartment in Motril, on the Granada coast, where both of them live. Upon being assisted on the road, he had told the emergency services and Civil Guard agents that his wife had died as a result of leaving the road.

The investigation continues in the investigation phase in a court in Granada. The aforementioned sources consulted by Europa Press indicate that there are “very obvious” indications that the civil guard simulated the traffic accident, to which members of the 061 Health Emergency Center and the Traffic Civil Guard traveled, who could do nothing for save the life of this woman, for which reason the judicial protocol was activated.

The Homicide Group of the Civil Guard Command of Granada and the Judicial Police have worked with this hypothesis, after, at first, the body was presented at the scene of the accident, on the A-44, at the height from the town of Cozvíjar, a temperature that was not compatible with a death on the spot. There were also no signs that the incident had been of such seriousness as to be an obvious cause of death.

In the possible simulation of the accident, reported by the digital newspaper ‘El Debate’, the man could have used, according to the aforementioned sources to Europa Press, an iron bar to hit the car after the accident. The vehicle left the road and fell into some bushes due to a drop of about three meters.

The researchers are awaiting the conclusion of some tests, derived from the autopsy of the body, so all the hypotheses remain open. However, sexist violence is one of the forms that have taken the most force during the proceedings, which in principle will not entail criminal liability, since, in this case, the possible perpetrator is dead.

On May 8, Motril said goodbye to this couple who left two girls orphaned and with the neighbors “shocked” by the double death, which some already considered inexplicable at that time in the city.
