MADRID, 21 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Minister for Territorial Policy and Government Spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, has assured today that the Government has already assumed political responsibilities in the case of the trains that did not fit through the tunnels and in the case of the negative effects of the ‘only yes’ Law is if’. In the first case, she has said, for the bonus of commuter trains in Asturias and Cantabria and in the second, for the proposed Law to correct the negative effects of the norm.

This was stated during the press conference after the Council of Ministers when asked why there have been resignations of officials from the Ministry of Transport and the president of Renfe for the contract for the trains to Asturias and Cantabria that did not fit in the tunnels and there have been no political responsibilities in the case of the ‘only yes is yes’ Law, after the reduction of sentences for more than 520 sex offenders.

“In both cases, responsibilities are assumed when solutions are proposed, when there is a problem and a solution is offered, in the form of a bill in the former and in the form of compensation to the Autonomous Communities for the error produced”, the minister responded, reiterating that “in both cases they have occurred, they have realized those political responsibilities”.

According to Isabel Rodríguez, the explanations of the Minister of Transport have been clear from the outset and throughout this time and she has pointed out that she would have liked it if at other times in history and with other political leaders from other parties they would have offered the explanations, from the outset, that Raquel Sánchez has offered.

He added in this regard that the Government regularly appears for all kinds of matters, recalling that this afternoon the President of the Government is doing so in the Senate, in the government control session. According to Isabel Rodríguez they are always “happy to appear and give an account” of their management to the Spanish.
