The board member of District 4 of the Seville town of Dos Hermanas has been transferred to the Virgen de Valme University Hospital by the health services after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest.
The National Police has detailed in a statement that around 9:30 a.m., the vocal has left his post when he was “unwell.” Moments later, at the height of Óscar Arias street, he has collapsed, going into cardiorespiratory arrest.
At the scene, he was immediately attended by agents of the National Police, who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him.
The man has been transferred to the Virgen de Valme University Hospital by the health services of 061 with the pulse restored.
This is one of the incidents that occurred during the opening of the polling stations, to which are added three other minor ones. Thus, in the IES Al-Lawqra of Lora del Río it has not been possible to constitute the table until 9:32 a.m. because the titular and substitute members did not appear, finally the table has been constituted with the first voters.
In the capital Seville there have been two minor incidents. On the one hand, a delay in the start of voting at the CEIP Lope De Rueda school due to the breakage of a ballot box that has been replaced, with voting beginning at 9:20 a.m. and another delay in the start of voting due to the lack of a voter census in the Círculo de Labradores Facilities, where voting began at 9:35 am. A total of 1,529,548 people will be able to vote in today’s elections in the province of Seville. Of these, 1,525,372 are people who are part of the census of Spanish voters residing in Spain (788,438 women and 736,934 men), and 4,176 are foreign voters residing in our country. By country of origin, the largest number of voters is from Romania (995), followed by Italy (761), France (544) and Germany (365). On the other hand, 84,959 are new voters residing in Spain for having turned 18 since the 2019 municipal elections.
The Sevillians will elect a total of 1,498 councilors in the 106 municipalities and local entities of the province. On this occasion, two more councilors will be elected than in the previous municipal elections, as the municipality of Castilblanco de los Arroyos has reached 5,000 inhabitants.
In addition, nine Zone Electoral Boards have been set up (Carmona, Cazalla de la Sierra, Écija, Marchena, Lora del Río, Morón de la Frontera, Osuna, Utrera and Seville).
Among the material means that the polling stations have are 2,143 booths, 1,566,000 envelopes and 38,845 instruction manuals. The ballots in this electoral process are managed by the municipalities themselves.
Regarding human resources, 7,764 voters have been appointed as presidents, members and table substitutes. Meanwhile, 1,230 people will work that day as representatives of the Administration, of which 91 will have mobile devices to transmit the information.
Security will be guaranteed by a device made up of 3,500 agents of the State Security Forces and Bodies belonging to the National Police (1,350), Civil Guard (2,000), and Local Police (440).
