The minister makes the PP ugly for its “sudden interest in feminism” after maintaining the appeal against abortion for 13 years

MADRID, 22 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The PP has accused the Government this Wednesday of remaining “impassive” in the face of the “damage” caused by the ‘law of only yes is yes’, reproaching it for delaying the reform due to its “internal gibberish”, while the minister Pilar Llop has recriminated to the ‘popular’ who try to establish themselves as defenders of judges and magistrates when they are “the greatest adversary of Justice”.

This is how they have expressed themselves during the control session of the Government in the Congress of Deputies, following the question asked by the ‘popular’ Macarena Montesinos, who wanted to know if the Minister of Justice shares the opinions of her colleague for Equality, Irene Montero, in the sense that judges are responsible for sentence reductions and releases of sexual offenders because of ‘only yes is yes’.

“React, support the victims and modify the law now”, Montesinos urged, indicating that “arrogance, sectarianism and false feminism” is what is preventing the Government from acting in this matter.

He has also maintained that if the announced reform of the law is delayed it is because of “the internal gibberish that they have in the Council of Ministers.” “Because the benefits of their coalition are more important to them than the integrity and dignity of the victims,” ??she snapped.

In this sense, Montesinos has criticized Moncloa for remaining “impassive” when “every five hours an aggressor is reduced in sentence and another is released every two days”, while recalling that, although the PP has not been “part of the problem” does want to be part of the “solution” given the “magnitude” of the “problem”.

“Not impassive, because the socialist parliamentary group has presented a bill to reform where the focus of the problem lies in that law, which are the penalties,” Llop replied.

Likewise, he has criticized the defense that “disguises the PP” from judges and magistrates, describing it as “disgraceful” inasmuch as he has affirmed that the Popular Party “is the greatest adversary of Spanish Justice.”

“Their sayings and their deeds demonstrate it. Their sayings: ‘We are going to control the Supreme Court through the back door’, ‘the Prosecutor’s Office will refine this for you’. And their deeds: 1,539 days in breach of the Constitution. Renew the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), which is its obligation,” he stated.

Llop has also expressed his surprise at the “sudden interest of the PP in feminism”, blaming him for having maintained the unconstitutionality appeal against the abortion law of the Government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero for 13 years.

Despite the fact that they have had 13 years to “reflect”, “they have not taken it back”, he emphasized to add: “It will be because the women who have to make this tough decision in their lives are not good people”.

“The one who would have to reflect is you and your entire government,” Montesinos replied, accusing Llop of putting on “the mask of a false feminist.” “Lessons of feminism for us, the fair ones”, has riveted the PP deputy.
