They ask to collect information to take legal action: “Medium, author, date and support”

MADRID, 1 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The leadership of the socialist parliamentary group in Congress has sent a message to all its deputies in which it assures that they will defend the dignity and honor of the parliamentarians who are being singled out for the ‘Mediator’ case unfairly and intentionally, according to complaints .

In the message, to which Europa Press has had access, the PSOE affirms that there are deputies who are suffering “intolerable harassment” through social networks and assure that they will defend them “with the same forcefulness” that they acted to separate from the group and expel from the PSOE the already ex-deputy Juan Bernardo Fuentes Curbelo, allegedly involved in this corruption plot in which several businessmen and a Civil Guard general, who is already in prison, are also implicated.

The PSOE condemns the accusations against its deputies and assures that they will help them carry out legal measures against the authors of said accusations. To do this, they encourage them to “collect all possible information about these signs: medium, author, date, support and if possible a copy of it,” they indicate.

In addition, they admit that as a result of the information published on this case they are going through a moment of “enormous sadness and deep discomfort”, personally and also as a parliamentary group. “For a socialist there is nothing more disgusting than knowing that within our ranks we had an allegedly corrupt person,” the text states.

Along the same lines that different PSOE officials have been affirming since the case came to light, the message signed by the leadership of the socialist group defends that they acted “with all speed” and “in less than eight hours” Fuentes Curbelo had delivered the act of deputy and had been expelled from the PSOE. In addition, they insist that they will do the same with any other deputy “who may have committed acts of this nature,” they add.
