MADRID, 5 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The PSOE spokesman in Congress and former lehendakari, Patxi López, has praised the historic leader of the UGT, Nicolás Redondo, as “builder of this country” and has highlighted his role in the conquest of rights and freedoms.
López went to the funeral chapel this Thursday for Redondo, former UGT general secretary who died this Tuesday, installed at the union headquarters in Madrid, where he has also signed the book of condolences.
In statements to the media, he pointed out that countries are built by the people who make them up and that Nicolás Redondo “was the builder of this country, because he founded it on the rights and freedoms that he insisted on conquering for all.”
Likewise, Patxi López, whose father Eduardo López Albizu was leader of the PSE at the same time as Nicolás Redondo, added that this was “one of the great references, the mirror in which many of us would like to look at ourselves”, he affirmed. “Let the sowing be good”, he has finally pointed out.
