They do not submit to vetoes like that of the PP against Rosell and vindicates their courage against those who opt for “aesthetic politics” so that the media take care of them

MADRID, 4 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Podemos has claimed this Friday that far from being “dead” and “in the doldrums”, as their critics proclaim, they are a “living” organization that also aspires to lead the left “ideologically and politically” during the remaining months to municipal and regional elections.

He has also defended that “no leftist political force in 80 years” has achieved more than Podemos and, compared to other options focused on “aesthetic politics, he emphasizes that they are the guarantee of social transformations and “they will never bow their heads” in return They will not accept vetoes such as the one proposed by the PP to the Government delegate against gender violence, Victoria Rosell, to be part of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ).

This has been transferred by the secretary of the Organization of Podemos, Lilith Verstrynge, and the parliamentary spokesman in Congress, Pablo Echenique, at the opening ceremony of the ‘Uni de Autumn’, the ideological forum of the formation together with internal candidates to the regional and municipal elections, such as Héctor Illueca (Valencian Community), Jesús Santos (Alcorcón), Alejandra Jacinto (Madrid Community), Lucía Muñoz (Palma City Council), Olaya Suárez (Gijón City Council) and Noemí Santana (Canary Islands).

The opening rally of the conference reflects the crucial role that Podemos gives to these elections, where it wants to visualize its candidates and show its project in the different territories, to claim that its presence in the institutions as a way of carrying out courageous progressive policies

The leader of the formation and Minister of Social Rights, Ione Belarra, has attended briefly despite the fact that she is on maternity leave to greet her territorial leaders and among the public that has gathered at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the Complutense University There were also references to training, such as the case of co-founder Juan Carlos Monedero. The attendees have received their territorial and state cadres to the cry of ‘Yes we can’.

And it is that the start of these days coincides with the proclamation of the winners of the internal primaries, which have been marked by a decrease in participation in the majority of autonomies and with the victory of the official candidates, except in the case of Asturias where the critical aspiring Covadonga Tomé has garnered the majority support of those registered.

In this way, the candidacy in Aragon of the regional leader Maru Díaz has been formalized; in Extremadura the regional coordinator Irene de Miguel repeats, in the Balearic Islands the national deputy Antònia Jover is proclaimed; in Murcia the regional parliamentarian María Marín, in Navarre the leader in this region Begoña Alfaro and Cantabria the head of the autonomous Civil Society Mónica Rodero and Raúl Pérez in La Rioja are officially announced as candidates.

During his speech, Verstrynge highlighted the participation in this process of more than 35,000 people and that until the elections in May they will dedicate themselves to leading the space of the left, aware that the new times require ideas, which can only be come from an organization “active” and “capable of adapting to the political moment” such as Podemos.

Moreover, he has ensured that the party officials govern better not only with respect to the right, but also of the people who are dedicated to “aesthetic politics.” “That is why we are pointed out from classes such as the deep state,” insisted the ‘number three’ of the purple formation to defend that they have chosen the “best” candidates in primaries.

For his part, Echenique has criticized the attacks that his party receives and that they are not going to moderate their speech so that they are taken care of by the media, because “without fear” they are determined to “reach all the places of power that correspond to them according to the popular will.” .

After criticizing that the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, is not moderate, he has criticized that all his opponents agree in saying that Podemos is “dead” or that “it has failed”, so that people do not realize that “they have achieved more than any political force”.

And in those achievements, Echenique has cited the push of Podemos to break “bipartisanship”, the motion of censure against former PP president Mariano Rajoy, whom he has defined as “corrupt”, and to prevent the PSOE from governing with Ciudadanos with a view to trying “break the cycle of change” or get representatives who share your ideas now sitting in the coalition government.

Therefore, the leader of the purple formation has emphasized his “pride” as a soldier in Podemos, which is another way of “doing politics” despite the fact that they are being tried to “break politically”, in addition to betting on submitting to primaries while others are they opt for the “nudges” to designate their candidates.

Moreover, he has cited as an example that his formation does not accept the “veto” and the “hunt” by the PP of an “honest” magistrate like Rosell, who suffered a Lawfare; nor does he bow to the “war rage” by standing firm in his demand to work on a peace agreement in the face of the war in Ukraine.

For their part, the various regional and municipal candidates have deepened that Podemos is “necessary” and a “strong organization”, as in the case of Jesús Santos.

In this line, Illueca has explained that Podemos was born from the “social pain” that was generated after the 2008 crisis and that now returns with the consequence of the crisis caused by the conflict in Ukraine with a rise in mortgages and rents that leave thousands out of families.

The also vice president of the Valencian Generalitat has revealed that they are “aware” of the difficult moments in the country but “opportunities for change” are also opening up and this must be the “moment” of Podemos.

“Everything is open,” he stressed to remember the comeback of the left in France. In turn, he has indicated that his management balance is positive but admits that with the correlation of forces, where Podemos is a minority partner, it is “difficult” to make progress with the PSOE.

The candidate of the formation for the Consistory of Gijón has also reiterated, like Echenique, that they have shown that those who consider them dead are wrong, while Lucía Muñoz, also a deputy in Congress, has harangued the party’s bases to go out and win The elections.

Meanwhile, the state co-spokesperson and candidate for Madrid has charged against the management of the regional president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and that the party has the “political strength” to face the challenges of the future with “all the audacity”.
