MADRID, 19 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of Finance and Public Function, María Jesús Montero, has disfigured this Wednesday the leader of the opposition, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, his “null ability” to propose proposals after the ‘face to face’ that he starred yesterday in the Senate with the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.
“I saw an opposition leader focused on wearing down the government, with no capacity for proposals and who did not raise any news regarding any issue that we could take note of to continue working in directions that the members of the opposition provide us,” has moved in an interview on TVE, collected by Europa Press.
Asked if Sánchez’s change of tone is due to the fact that the negotiations to renew the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) are in a decisive phase, the minister has assured the tone that each one uses “is an issue that happens to a background”.
In this sense, he has assured that he saw in the debate a “solvent” President of the Government at the head of an Executive that has a project for the country and that is anticipating tough situations for this winter with measures to deal with the crisis arising from the war in Ukraine.
Regarding the negotiation with the PP to renew the body for electing the judges, Montero has preferred to be “prudent” and wait for the announcement to take place with all the consequences. “They have already seen that from other agreements later at the last minute someone has backed down and it would not be good news for the country,” he pointed out.
However, he has asked the ‘popular’ to act with a sense of State and to comply with that constitutional will from which “he should never have moved away”. “Depending on whether the current majorities benefit him or not, he cannot make constitutional disobedience,” the Treasury Minister settled.
