The Deputy Secretary for Regional and Local Coordination of the PP, Pedro Rollán, has ruled out this Tuesday the return of the former secretary general of the Francisco Álvarez-Cascos party and has indicated that “in time it will be seen” what emerges from the meeting between the ‘popular ‘ from Asturias and also the founder of Foro Asturias.

“We endorse the meeting and what emerges from it will be seen over time, but in no case talk about personalizing a return to the PP in the figure of Álvarez-Cascos,” Rollán said at a press conference from the party’s national headquarters , where he has transferred the “maximum respect” of the ‘popular’ to past leaders.

In this sense, he recalled that the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has proposed “representing a large majority of Spaniards, regardless of their ideology”, so that meetings and gatherings “that have the objective of bringing together the vote PP welcome be.”

The general secretary of the Asturian PP, Álvaro Queipo, has held a meeting with Álvarez-Cascos, according to information released by the newspaper ‘El Comercio’. Meanwhile, the Deputy Secretary General for Territorial Organization of the PP, Miguel Tellado, has acknowledged that the party has not yet decided who will lead the next stage of the Asturian PP.
