In ‘Genoa’ they believe that with this proposal they have tried to “distract the attention of citizens” from inflation, which rises to 10.8%
MADRID, 29 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The PP has denounced this Friday that the head of the Executive, Pedro Sánchez, has asked citizens to take off their ties to save energy, but then has mounted a helicopter to travel the 25.8 kilometers that connect the Palacio de la Moncloa and the Torrejón air base, burning “180 kilos of kerosene”, according to party sources.
The formation of Alberto Núñez Feijóo has reacted in this way after the President of the Government has asked the ministers and the rest of public officials not to wear a tie when it is not necessary, understanding that it is a gesture that contributes to energy savings. He has also asked the leaders of the private sector to do without it in the summer if possible, thus favoring less use of air conditioning.
“I don’t wear a tie, that means that we can all save from an energy point of view and I have asked all ministers and all public officials. And the private sector, as far as possible, that when it is not necessary they do not use the tie and that way we will all save,” said Sánchez in his appearance at the Palacio de la Moncloa to take stock of the political course.
From ‘Génova’ they consider that Pedro Sánchez is inspired by the Government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero with this proposal asking Spaniards to take off their ties in search of saving energy, alluding to the action in July 2011 of Minister Miguel Sebastián, who also defended removing this press to “not waste” energy.
However, the PP has stressed that, after that request, Sánchez “has mounted a helicopter to travel the 25.8 kilometers that connect the Palacio de la Moncloa and the Torrejón air base”, from where he has started a trip towards the Balkans.
According to the ‘popular’, the journey began at 2:02 p.m. (50 minutes after finishing his public intervention) and has saved the President of the Government just 10 minutes compared to that same transfer made by road, party sources have indicated. .
“Therefore, he had plenty of time to travel by car, spending about five liters of diesel and not the around 180 kilos of kerosene burned in the Super Puma of the Air Force,” the same sources have highlighted.
The PP considers that the Prime Minister has tried to launch this measure “to distract citizens’ attention from a new inflation figure that confirms the citizens’ economic problems.”
“His problem is not with those who wear ties. Nor with the powerful. His problem is in his tendency to fly over the problems of the Spanish and try to sell a reality to the population that is only in the imagination of a leader who has been without a leader for months. stepping on the street for fear that society will tell him what it thinks of him and his management”, have pointed out ‘popular’ sources.
