MADRID, 29 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has avoided assessing the increase in Defense spending in the next General State Budgets (PGE) in his balance of the political course, as he promised at the NATO Summit, and has limited himself to defend that the public accounts for next year “will represent a record in social investment”.

During this press conference to close the political course in La Moncloa, Sánchez has been asked about this commitment that he reaffirmed at the NATO Summit, despite the misgivings of his government partner, United We Can, although at no time has he made reference explicitly to this increase in military spending.

In fact, it has valued that the Council of Ministers has given the green light this week to the spending ceiling, the first step to prepare the public accounts for next year.

“In any case, I can guarantee you that these Budgets will once again set a record in social spending to protect the working middle class of our country. We will fulfill our commitments as it cannot be otherwise, not because it is a whim, It is a necessity”, he has sentenced.
