MADRID, 29 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The general coordinator of the PP, Elías Bendodo, considers that the acceleration of GDP to 1.1% in the second quarter is “unreal” because, as he has said, these data are swollen by inflation, for which he has once again offered the economic proposals of the PP, which go through a tax reduction, in order to lower the CPI, which stood at 10.8% in the month of July.

This is how Bendodo reacted in an interview on Onda Cero, collected by Europa Press, to the data released this Friday of the GDP for the second half of the year and the CPI for the month of July.

Regarding the CPI, Bendodo believes that it is on this issue that the political parties have to “agree”, which is why he has insisted on the “outstretched hand” of the PP to the Government so that inflation stops drowning families “.

Regarding GDP growth, Bendodo has expressed his “concern” that he is “inflating a balloon that could burst”, in relation to the fact that these data are swollen, in his view, by inflation.

In this context, Bendodo has warned that it will be from summer when the situation worsens, emphasizing that these months the strengthening of tourism helps economic indices.

Thus, it has made the Government ugly that “it goes on vacation” when “it has failed many subjects” because, it has stressed, that the situation after the summer “will be much more complicated.”

However, the ‘popular’ leader has also commented on the unemployment data that was released this Thursday, assuring that “whenever there is job creation, there are reasons for joy”, although he considers that “it is not good to be triumphalist”.

In this regard, he maintained that Spain “continues to be the country with the highest unemployment rate in Europe”, also leading, in his view, the youth unemployment rate on the continent. “In addition, we are the economy that has recovered the worst from the crisis caused by the pandemic,” he pointed out.

For this reason, he has emphasized the PP’s formula for tax reduction, such as the one proposed by the Basque Country to deflate the IPRF: “This is not ideology, it is common sense, that people pay less and that is what the majority of autonomous communities.

Regarding the new tax on banks and electricity companies, which the PSOE and United We Can register this Thursday in Congress, Bendodo believes that it is “a lot of ideology and makeup and in the end the tax increases will be paid by the citizens.”

Finally, before the balance of the political course offered by the chief executive, Pedro Sánchez, this Friday, Bendodo said that his summary is that “he has had 39 ministers and 24 tax increases.”
