This donation platform was created in collaboration with Everstake, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and FTX, the cryptocurrency exchange FTX.

The Government’s Crypto Donation website is now live

Monday’s announcement by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine was that the “Aid For Ukraine” official website was launched to raise funds for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and humanitarian aid programs against Russia. The cryptocurrency donation platform is made possible by Everstake, a staking service provider, and FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange.

Mykhailo Fedorov (Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine) tweeted Monday to confirm that the official website, where anyone can make cryptocurrency donations for Ukraine, is now live.

“Aid For Ukraine” describes the new donation website as:

This is the first time that a cryptocurrency exchange has partnered with a public entity to facilitate crypto donations.

Aid For Ukraine lists both crypto addresses and bank account information for the government. Donors may send cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin ( Bitcoin ), Ethereum ( ETHER ), Tether ( USDT), Polokadot(DOT), Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), Monero ( XMR), and ethereum [ ETH ]. You can also send fiat money to Ukraine in USD, EUR or GBP.

The donation site shows that more than $50 million has been raised as of the writing of this article.

Further, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine explained that funds will be used for military equipment and “informational counteractions to Russian propaganda” as well as a global communication campaign about true events in Ukraine.

The ministry stated that the funds will be used for “cybersecurity” and “digital infrastructure recovery, providing additional protection, migration of registers [and] the] purchase of technical equipment and facilities.”

Alex Bornyakov (Ukraine’s deputy minister for digital transformation), disclosed earlier this month that his government had spent $15 million in donated cryptocurrency to purchase military supplies including bulletproof vests.
