Earlier this week, Honor launched its new Honor 200 series, and we had the opportunity to check out the Honor 200 model, which falls between the more budget-friendly 200 Lite and the premium 200 Pro.
The Honor 200 has a sleek design that is very similar to its Pro counterpart. However, upon closer inspection, you’ll notice the single punch hole cutout on the display, which houses a 50MP main camera but does not include the 2MP depth sensor found on the Pro model.
In terms of display, the Honor 200 features a 6.7-inch screen, which is slightly smaller than the 200 Pro. It boasts a 120Hz OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and 3,840Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. The Honor 200 is also thinner than the Pro version at 7.7mm and weighs 12 grams less.
The Moonlight White variant of the Honor 200 has a satin-like finish on the back that shimmers when exposed to direct light. One notable difference is that the Honor 200 does not come with an official IP rating, whereas the 200 Pro offers IP65 dust and water resistance.
Another key distinction between the two devices is the chipset. The Honor 200 is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the Pro model features the more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
Despite these differences, both the Honor 200 and 200 Pro sport the same camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP 2x telephoto lens with Harcourt Portrait mode, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The devices run on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 and pack a 5,200 mAh battery with 100W wired charging.
The Honor 200 is priced starting at €600/£500 for the 8/256GB variant and will be available for purchase from June 26 on Honor’s official websites and partner retailers.
Overall, the Honor 200 offers a compelling combination of design, features, and performance at a competitive price point, making it a strong contender in the smartphone market.
