CORDOBA, July 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The city of Córdoba will host the informal meeting on Agriculture (Agrifish) on September 4 and 5, 2023, coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, within the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) during the second half of 2023.

The sub-delegate of the Government in Córdoba, Rafaela Valenzuela, has expressed her “satisfaction with the choice of the city as the venue for this meeting” and for “having the opportunity to receive the European leaders”.

In a statement, Valenzuela stressed that the Government has shown that the collaboration and involvement of the autonomous communities will be “essential for all events related to the Spanish Presidency of the European Union to be a success” and has shown “sure that Córdoba will deploy according to the situation”.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, José Manuel Albares, and the Minister for Territorial Policy and Government Spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez, held a meeting of the Conference for Issues Related to the European Union this Friday in Bilbao ( Carue), to report on the preparations for the Spanish Presidency of the EU.

After the approval, in the meeting of the organizing committee with all the ministries on July 6, of the list of cities that will host the main meetings that will be organized in Spain, this Friday it has been confirmed with the representatives of the autonomous communities which ministerial meeting will be held in each city and on what dates these meetings are scheduled to be held. Likewise, at this Friday’s meeting the importance of all the autonomous communities hosting at least one informal meeting at ministerial level was underlined.

The collaboration and involvement of the autonomous communities in the entire process of preparing the meetings, as well as in other events or cultural activities that may be organized throughout the Spanish territory during the six months of the Presidency, will be essential for the proper development Of the same.
