The spokeswoman for the PSOE in the Senate, Eva Granados, has ruled on the reform of the crime of sedition that the Government intends to carry out and, although she has defended that it is in the normative plan of this Legislature, she has assured that the Code issues Criminal, such as this one, are “very secondary” and that the Executive of Pedro Sánchez “has some priorities, which go through dealing with the increase in inflation.”
“The Government is attacking what is urgent and important,” Eva Granados said in an interview with Europa Press, where she explained that Pedro Sánchez’s Executive is assessing whether this reform of the crime of sedition can be carried out.
However, the socialist leader has avoided going into the details of this possible reform of the crime of sedition, because, as she recalled, “it is a text that has not even reached the Congress of Deputies” although it is in the normative plan.
In fact, Granados has been cautious about the technical details of this reform, emphasizing that, despite being on the Government’s legislative roadmap, it was not a priority in its day. “I understand that there is an interest in this topic, but I cannot tell you beyond that it is something that is planned”, she has influenced.
