MADRID, 9 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The former leader of Podemos Pablo Iglesias has reaffirmed that “humility, generosity and respect for the allies is a condition of possibility for the success of the left”, highlighting that the purple formation is the main formation on the left of the PSOE.

This has been transferred on Twitter by sharing information published by the newspaper ’20 minutes’, where based on data from the Center for Sociological Research (CIS) 41% of the voters to the left of the PSOE are from Podemos, 34% from UP (the current confluence of Podemos, IU and the commons), 17% are from Sumar (the platform promoted by Díaz) and 6% from IU.

“These numbers should make anyone think that the support of progressive media is enough to move forward,” the former vice president has launched.

A message that is in line with his speech at the ‘Autumn Uni’ of Podemos, when he highlighted the generosity of Podemos to forge alliances and opted for the confluence with Sumar, but warning that the formation must be respected.

On Monday, the second vice president asked to clarify “as soon as possible” if she will be a candidate in the next general elections and has assured that the also Minister of Labor owes her “historic” achievements in the Ministry to the purple formation.

Yesterday Díaz said that he does not owe “nothing to anyone”, at the same time that he has indicated that he will not be distracted in responding to the words of the former leader of Podemos demanding that ‘Sumar’ respect the party led by Ione Belarra.

She also stated at an event in Navarra that she is willing to take “a step forward” with her Sumar platform, but has warned that this platform “is not anyone’s complement”.

“Adding is already unstoppable (…) there is no turning back. We are going to continue, we are going to move forward. And as I said on July 8, if you want to add, I am going to take a step forward, collectively”, proclaimed.
