The infrastructure construction group Lantania has announced that it will execute, under the DBOT (Design, Build, Operate and Transfer) modality, the wastewater treatment plant of the new factory of the canning company Hijos de Carlos Albo in Salvaterra de MiƱo ( Pontevedra).
The planned execution period for the work is seven months, after which Lantania Agua will operate and maintain the plant for at least five years, when it will pass into the hands of the canning manufacturer.
Hijos de Carlos Albo has also awarded Lantania a project that includes the installation of a homogenization, chemical conditioning and purification with dissolved air flotation equipment (DAF) designed and manufactured by Lantania Agua.
This is the company’s first DBOT contract and one of the first of its kind, signed between two private companies in Spain.
The capacity of the plant will be 400 cubic meters per day and the possibility of its expansion with a biological treatment of the SBR (Sequential Biological Reactor) type is also contemplated if necessary in the future.
In addition, the new factory will have a production capacity of up to 100 tons per day, with almost 63,000 square meters for processing and sterilization and the incorporation of 4.0 technology to increase the production load.
The built area of ??the factory will amount to 25,000 square meters, to which is added the installation of a photovoltaic solar plant and aerothermal equipment to produce green energy.
