PARIS, July 30. (DPA/EP) –

The French authorities have confirmed more than 800 kilometers of traffic jams due to summer trips, mainly on routes to the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

Highway 7 that runs through the Rhône Valley has recorded journeys of up to five hours to travel from Lyon to Orange compared to the hour and a half that this journey usually takes.

This weekend coincides with the movements of those who finish their vacations in July and those who begin them in the month of August, which is why it is one of those with the highest vacation traffic.

In any case, the traffic is better than last year, when more than 1,000 kilometers of retention were recorded in the equivalent weekend.
