MADRID, 16 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The demonstration held this Saturday against Pedro Castillo in the streets of the Peruvian capital, Lima, has been closed with the use of tear gas after the extremist group La Resistencia, associated with Fujimorism, broke the police cordon with the aim of reaching the Government Palace.

The mobilization against the president has taken place only three days after the attorney general, Patricia Benavides, filed a constitutional complaint against the president in Congress for the crimes of criminal organization, influence peddling, aggravated collusion and aggravated influence peddling. .

The members of La Resistencia sang the national anthem and chanted “Castle out, the people repudiate you!” In addition, according to ‘La República’, the march was also attended by supporters of the Peruvian Aprista Party (PAP).

A device of 500 policemen has accompanied the demonstration since its beginning in the Palace of Justice and has decided to close the Plaza de Armas as a preventive measure when some of the protesters have tried to reach the seat of the Government.
