MADRID, 30 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Popular Party has requested the urgent appearance of the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, in the Congress of Deputies to explain the measures that the Government is going to take in the face of the increase in cases of coronavirus in China.

Thus, the ‘popular’ urge Darias to give explanations to the Health and Consumer Commission on whether the Executive foresees “some measure of real utility” in the face of this increase in cases that “is affecting the rest of the world”, reads the request of appearance.

The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has demanded this Friday a “full-time” minister because, in her opinion, Darias “has his head set” on the next elections in which he aspires to the Mayor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria .

In an interview on TVE, collected by Europa Press, Gamarra also pointed out that yesterday they requested the holding of the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System (CISNS) to adopt resignations in coordination with the autonomous communities. “That we are not late again”, he has claimed himself.

Asked about whether Spain should act alone or wait for measures to be taken within the European framework, the leader of the PP added that “there are measures that sometimes cannot wait and must be adopted immediately”, although it is good to know what happens in Europe, has qualified.
