MARBELLA (MÁLAGA), 27 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers, Victoria Ortega, has referred this Thursday to the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) and the negotiations and has insisted that, at this time, “the best thing is to wait for the renewal, that no intermediate issue be created and then we will talk about the successive forms of renewal”.
This was indicated by Ortega after questions from journalists in Marbella (Málaga) during the inauguration of the Legal Congress of Lawyers in Malaga.
“The fundamental thing is that, effectively, the appointments and the renewal of the General Council be carried out. From what I heard on the news this morning, this seems imminent”, he pointed out, while assessing that “we all owe rejoice because this has definitely been carried out and the Constitutional mandate is fulfilled”.
In the same way, about the “agreements that are reached on whether the members return or not, we will comment on that when we definitively see how it turns out.” “It seems to me that at this moment, the best thing is to wait for the renewal, that no intermediate question be created, and then we will talk about the successive forms of renewal”, he concluded.
