The Prosecutor’s Office asked to reject him because of his history of murder and can still challenge him

BARCELONA, Nov. 18 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) has admitted that Emilio Hellín, now Luis Enrique, convicted of murdering, along with other ultra-rightists, the militant of the Socialist Workers Party Yolanda González, appears as an expert in the defense of the president of Junts , Laura Borràs, in her trial for allegedly dividing contracts when she directed the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes (ILC).

In the order for the admission of evidence for the trial, consulted by Europa Press this Friday, the court admits the evidence that Borràs’ defense has commissioned the former member of Fuerza Nueva together with another computer engineer.

Last week, the Prosecutor’s Office asked the court to reject Hellín’s participation given his background and considering that he “lacks the necessary suitability to perform such a function before the court.”

Now the court has resolved to admit the evidence “although limited to the strict fields and terms of the proposed computer expert”, which is focused on analyzing the hard drives of the also defendant Isaías H., who allegedly favored the split contracts.

The court notes that “they will not be the object of expertise nor will any type of evaluation be admitted to the experts” with respect to other computer programming work that Isaías H. did for various web pages.

The TSJC order includes the prosecutor’s request not to admit Hellín due to his background, and responds that “the blemish is considered formulated, without any other effect”, although it reminds the prosecutor that the law allows him to challenge the expert once admitted the trial and until the trial begins.

Borràs’s trial for allegedly dividing contracts in the ILC will be from February 10 to March 1, and the expert evidence will be carried out on Monday, February 27.

Borràs is accused of alleged prevarication and documentary falsification, and the Prosecutor’s Office requests for her a sentence of six years in prison and 21 years of disqualification, in addition to a fine of 144,000 euros, for allegedly splitting 18 contracts to entrust projects to Isaías H. without the need to bid them.
