MADRID, 29 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Easter Week will begin with a drop in temperatures, which will approach their normal values; with rain in the north, snowfall in the Pyrenees but with dry and hot weather in the Mediterranean and in the south of the Peninsula, where even if temperatures drop, they will still be warm for the season, according to the weather portal eltiempo.es.

The meteorological portal defines the meteorological situation for the next few days as that of “the two Spains”, with rains concentrated in the north and a “significant” thermal drop during Operation Departure and the weekend, although it will be hot again from of Holy Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the probability of precipitation will increase in the south and east for the Easter holidays. Rainfall will be concentrated in the north of the country for the first few days, as a humid flow will arrive from the northwest to the Cantabrian slope and rain will arrive in the northern strip starting on Friday.

The precipitations in Galicia could have scattered precipitations from Friday morning and they will gain in intensity in the afternoon, when they will be more widespread in that autonomous community. From very early on there can also be rainfall in the Basque Country and in the western half of the Pyrenees.

In the afternoon, the probability of rain will move to the eastern half of the mountain range (Aragon and Catalonia) during the afternoon and it could also occur punctually and weakly in the interior of Cantabria and the Basque Country.

In the rest of the country, tiempo.es expects a “very insignificant” probability of rain but highlights the cloudiness expected in the northern half; the wind in the afternoon with gusts of more than 60 kilometers per hour in many areas and poor sea conditions in Galicia and the Cantabrian Sea, where waves of 5 to 7 meters high can be recorded.

As for Saturday, April 1, expect it to rain in the morning in Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country, Navarra and La Rioja, as well as in the Pyrenees and in the province of Gerona. Some weak drizzles are not ruled out in the surroundings of the Central system.

In the afternoon the probability of rain will increase in Burgos, Soria and Barcelona as well as in points of Aragon at the last minute. At night, the rains may reach the Balearic Islands, and may be more generous in Menorca than in the rest of the islands.

Regarding day 2, when Palm Sunday is celebrated, he specifies that the rainfall will be concentrated only in the northern strip, in Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country, La Rioja and north of Burgos and Navarra, where the rains will be weak. It will also snow that day in the Pyrenees and there will be a clear drop in the snow level, up to 1,000 or 1,200 meters high, with some persistence for hours.

There will be “Two Spains” in terms of temperatures, according to the meteorological portal, because the thermometers will continue to drop on Friday and the weekend until they reach a “winter environment in many areas” of the northern half of the peninsula. For example, it predicts that in Burgos and Pamplona the expected maximum is only 10ºC.

However, in the south and east, temperatures will be above average, with highs of 20 to 25ºC in parts of the Valencian Community, the Region of Murcia and western Andalusia.

As for the Canary Islands, he points out that the temperatures will be pleasant, around 25ºC and the episode of wind, heat and haze will cease and over the weekend they will still be higher than normal for the season but they will be closer to normal.

Regarding next week, eltiempo.es forecasts that the first four days will be very stable, with hardly any rainfall and the thermometers “will bottom out on Monday” and from Tuesday they will begin to rise and from the middle of the week the heat will recover.

However, with uncertainty, he sees the possibility that instability will increase as of April 9, Good Friday, when some rains could be activated in Andalusia and the Valencian Community, from where they could spread to other areas of the center, east, and southeast. from the country.

All in all, the forecasts point to a week with temperatures above average throughout the country, between 1 and 3ºC above normal in most cases. They may be especially anomalous in the interior of Andalusia, west of Castilla-La Mancha and east of Extremadura, where the thermometers could have average values ??between 3 and 6ºC above the climatological value.
