The president of Microsoft Spain, Alberto Granados, has assured that the company is already working on expansions of the data centers that it is building in the Madrid towns of Algete, Meco and San Sebastián de los Reyes for its cloud region, which will generate 62,000 jobs. in three years.

Granados has spoken at the ‘Wake Up Spain’ event, organized by ‘El Español’, and has pointed out that, according to an IDC report for Microsoft, the region will have an impact on Spanish GDP of 26,000 million between 2022 and 2025.

The technology company’s president stressed that for every euro that Microsoft earns from this business, its customers and network of partners will generate seven euros, and he cited Prosegur as an example.

The security company has migrated its applications to the Microsoft cloud, which has allowed it to save costs and gain more than 10,000 clients in three months, according to Granados.

The manager has also highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence to free humans from automatic tasks and enhance their creativity.
