The evolution of the fire forces the evacuation of three new municipalities: Torralba del Pinar, Pavías and Higueras and the confinement of Caudiel

The operatives involved in the tasks of extinction of the fire declared since Thursday in Villanueva de Viver (Castellón) have worked to defend the population center of Montán, since the fire, at 3:00 p.m., has surrounded the area for what You work on checking your progress.

As reported by 112 GVA, there are no homes affected at noon on Monday. The forecast of the behavior of the fire has led the Advanced Command Post (PMA) to order the preventive eviction of the municipalities of Torralba del Pinar, Pavías and Higueras.

The Generalitat has deployed the logistical device to proceed with the evacuation of the residents and the mayors of the municipalities have been informed about the new orders from the fire management, which has ordered the confinement of Caudiel due to the presence of smoke in the area .

At 2:00 p.m., the actions of the operatives focused on the containment of the perimeter in adverse weather conditions –with gusts of more than 50 km/h and humidity of less than 20%–, which “are testing the agencies that participate in the extinction”, according to Emergencies.

The work of the aerial means is focused on the Arenós reservoir, where the resources are positioned so that there are no jumps to the other side of the control line, which is the CV-20 highway and in the area close to Montán, in the Maigmona Ravine.

Until now, the Generalitat’s air resources had carried out a total of 131 downloads. At 1:30 p.m., six helicopters from the Generalitat Valenciana were involved in the extinction, including the V5 (kamov); five helicopters from other autonomies: two from Aragon, one from Andalusia, one from Murcia and another from Castilla la Mancha and two State helicopters, from the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, with rotary wings. Fixed, four planes from the Generalitat Valenciana and four FOCA from the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge.
