MADRID, 26 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Iberia will deploy 6% more capacity for this Easter, between April 2 and 10, offering close to 420,000 seats, which means exceeding the figures of the last pre-pandemic Easter.

This has been highlighted by the company in a statement in which it has also indicated that this year Easter coincides with the start of the summer season for the air sector, which began this weekend, so that customers of Iberia will have at their disposal all the increases in flights and destinations scheduled by the airline as of April.

In this context, the commercial, Network and Alliances director of Iberia, María Jesús López Solás, has stressed that after the pandemic, “travel has climbed positions in customer priorities”. “Proof of this is that the demand continues to be very robust in the face of this Holy Week,” she asserted.

Thus, Iberia has reinforced its routes with additional flights to Athens, Budapest, Geneva, Marrakech and Oslo, which add to the growth that was already expected due to the start of the summer season in destinations such as Milan, Paris, Rome or Venice.

In addition, Iberia will resume its route to Washington in April with four weekly flights and has already increased frequencies with cities such as Boston, Chicago (both with daily flights), Dallas (five weekly flights) and Los Angeles (four weekly flights).
