BComú will vote ‘no’ to the Barcelona Budget if they do not agree to join the government of Jaume Collboni (PSC) before the plenary session this Friday, when the accounts will be definitively voted on, the municipal group reports in a statement.

This has been decided by the bases of the party led by the former mayor, Ada Colau, in a party plenary session this Tuesday afternoon, with a vote on the meaning of their vote.

The bases have taken a position regarding the following question: “In case the PSC maintains its refusal to agree on a progressive government before the municipal plenary session on March 22, do you give your support to the decision to vote against the municipal Budgets of 2024?”

The response included 165 votes in favor of voting ‘no’ to the accounts, five against and five blank, so that they have ruled out “massively giving a blank check to the Budgets of the PSC government.”

In the same statement, BComú emphasizes that it does not agree that the PSC asks opposition groups to approve the Budgets “without first having been able to talk about the policies and what city model they defend.”
