TARRAGONA, 10 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The farmers, environmentalists and social movements who have blocked the AP-7 in Cambrils (Tarragona) starting this Sunday have warned that their fight “will continue for many more days.”

In statements to journalists from the scene of the cut, the spokesperson for the Aturem Hard Rock platform, Eloi Redón, defined this Sunday’s mobilization as a “demonstration of force.”

“The fight will continue for many more days,” Redón has warned, and has assured that they are organized to cut the AP-7 or, literally, whatever they want.

Under the motto ‘Let’s defend the countryside, let’s build the future’, a dozen entities criticize measures such as the Hard Rock tourist complex, whose construction is planned near the point of the cut highway.

This is the first mobilization of the primary sector after the monographic plenary session on agriculture held this week in Parliament.

The CUP representative in Parliament Laia Estrada has also attended, criticizing that the legislature has gone overboard by continuing to support policies of “climate denialism” and has defended changing the economic development model.

Estrada has wondered what future awaits them after 60 years of “developmental policy that was imposed under Franco, but that has been perpetuated with autonomism.”
