-Geek presents the tallest mobile robot in the industry for the automation of warehouses up to 12 meters high

SHANGHAI, Nov. 14, 2023 /PRNewswire/ –Geek, the global leader in mobile robots for logistics, has introduced the tallest mobile ASRS system, designed to support automation of warehouses up to 12 meters (40 feet) high. Introduced to the public at CeMat Asia alongside the company’s full to-person portfolio, the new robotics solution has already been installed at sites in North America and Asia, and is being deployed at several major retailers globally.

Yong Zheng, Founder and CEO of Geek said: “As a pioneer in the mobile robotics space, we are committed to continuous innovation to accompany our customers on their new automation journey. The enhanced RoboShuttle solution is an important addition to our family of products to person, offering more options to retailers looking for the right option for their warehouse.

The container/case-to-person system acts as a mobile ASRS system where mobile robots perform automated storage and retrieval of containers for collection, storage and return handling. Implemented in more than 20 countries, this system stands out as the most flexible high storage solution on the market, thanks to mobile robots that operate without fixed equipment.

Additionally, this system can be combined with Geek’s Shelf-to-Person system, a unique offering that allows customers to choose the solution that fits their specific needs. This hybrid system supports the storage and picking of various sized items on racks, pallets and bins within a highly flexible and adaptable design.

“What makes our solutions stand out is their integration capabilities, allowing them to be combined seamlessly. We offer our customers the best choice of systems and they can create their own solution using our various modules. That’s what makes Geek unique, and it is what has allowed us to consistently lead the global market over the past five years,” added Yong Zheng.

The tall robot operates within aisles, focusing on storing and retrieving containers or boxes vertically. It then transfers them to small, fast picking robots that navigate beneath shelves to deliver the items to picking stations. The coordination between these robots results in a flexible and space-saving picking and storage solution for warehouses with heights of up to 12 metres. This new addition to Geek’s family of in-person products employs suction cups, providing greater storage density compared to other solutions on the market.

Geek’s systems are managed by a single software platform that drives multiple types of robots for real-time route planning, optimal traffic management and task allocation, making them ideal for large-scale deployments. The software integrates seamlessly with major warehouse management systems for easy implementation and integration.
